Spiritual Direction
& Pastoral Counsel

When facing a problem, ask, "Who has wisdom for this?" and "Who has faith for this?" Then go spend time with that person! If I can help you discern God's counsel for what you're facing, let me know below.

Why Spiritual Direction? Why Pastoral Counsel?

As a certified Spiritual Director and a Pastor with 22 years in full time church ministry, I've helped many people discern God's wisdom for key areas in their life. I've helped people work through infidelity and broken trust. I've helped couples learn healthier ways to communicate. I've encouraged pastors and leaders to keep on going, and helped some decide it's time to move on. I've helped heal broken hearts, broken marriages, and broken thought processes. I continue to have faith for this because I believe God has wisdom for every situation you face, and that together we can discover it.

What to expect

My style is conversational and friendly. If you want a mystic who lights a candle and bangs a little gong to help you center, I'm probably not your man. But if you want a down-to-earth, faith-guided, biblically-sound, honest and confidential conversation about the things you face, let's talk.

Spiritual
Direction

Spiritual Direction is designed as a recurring meeting for spiritual growth and accountability in pursuit of a healthy spiritual life.
  • Think "faith coach" and "mentor."
  • Everyone can benefit from spiritual direction, but it's especially essential for pastors and leaders (even leaders within your own home) who have a responsibility to discern well the opportunities and challenges in front of them.
  • Sort through key decisions in private conversation before going public, or work on growing in specific areas of your life.
  • Session consists of prayerful conversation around your agenda toward your desired outcome.
  • Designed around a monthly meeting, with option of weekly as needed.
  • Confidential, non-biased.
  • Zoom, phone, or in-person.

Pastoral
Counsel

Pastoral Counseling is seeking wisdom and biblical counsel to help with specific challenges you are facing in life.
  • Think "pastor" and "counselor."
  • Everyone faces challenges and will benefit from working through them from a biblical and pastoral perspective.
  • Overcome broken trust or unresolved hurts, or learn relationship skills to reduce the likelihood of such problems ahead of time as in premarital counseling.
  • Session consists of conversation ordered around discovering the underlying concerns, fears, and hopes, and developing an agreement toward your desired outcome.
  • Designed around a weekly meeting until problem is resolved, with option of higher frequency as needed.
  • Confidential, non-biased, under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
  • Zoom, phone, or in-person.
